EVAPORATION RESIDUES - GHT 915/917
The GHT 915/917 Rubber Test Equipment is designed to measure the evaporation residue in aviation fuels, motor fuels and other volatile distillates
Simple and safe quality control for jet fuels and gasoline
Herzog's rubber test apparatus is designed to measure evaporation residue in jet fuels, engine gasoline and other volatile distillates according to ASTM D 381, ISO 6246, EN 5 and IP 131 test methods. Model HGT 915 uses air evaporation, while model HGT 917 offers air or vapour evaporation versatility. Both models are able to analyse three 100 ml samples simultaneously. Results indicate the induction system build-up probability and suction valves jam potential.
Block temperature is factory set for a temperature of about 162 °C in air evaporation units and 232 °C in vapour evaporation units. Evaporation air or vapour temperature is controlled by pressure regulation. Model 917 includes an integrated vapour super heater, as well as an integrated actuator which allows to switch from air evaporation to vapour evaporation, as necessary.
